University of Delaware

http://www.udel.edu/
The University of Delaware is a delightful public university centered around a large quad with grass and trees. The Fighting Blue Hens are its mascot and the name of their sports teams. If you are looking for a college of good quality and great enthusiasm for its teams, U of Delware is a perfect choice. It is neither too small nor too large, located in a small college town (Newark, Delaware - NOT at the NJ airport!) which is in easy driving distance of large cities.
It has around 15 000 students and offers a wide variety of majors, including art restoration, hospitality, the natural sciences and almost everything else you can think of. The university boasts laboratory buildings named Gore(tex) and Dupont.
Lecture Building at the QuadDupont BuildingThe university accepts a wide range of students, none of them slouches, but luckily the admissions team keeps a favorable eye on our school.

On the first day of spring semester, lots of young people in University of Delaware Sweatshirts walked across the quad with boxes of books. If you fit in here, you are probably enthusiastic, not overly introvert and no party animal. This campus is dry.

At the QuadThe quad is not the only building complex. The university bought homes around the campus and transformed them into offices.

There are also modern buildings. Look for them in the next blog entry tomorrow.
